EJ Care

Personalised high-quality care provision for people with complex needs

Who we are....

At EJ Care, we believe that everyone should live a high-quality life. We are a supported living care provider making the lives of adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, autism and mental health challenges as comfortable as possible. We have a personal and professional approach, which ensures each individual is provided with the correct support when needed.

Our services are suitable for those living in their own homes and also in rented properties; our aim is to ensure that everyone has access to receiving the care they need. Total transparency and trust between our EJ Care staff and our service users is extremely important to us, that’s why our care services are protected by contractual agreements.

We work in partnership with adults and involve them in decisions about their care. We support self-management and encourage people to be independent. We also build and maintain a continuing, trusting and non-judgemental relationship with our clients. We provide information in a format and language appropriate to their cognitive and developmental level (including spoken and picture formats, and written versions in Easy Read style and different colours and fonts)

Supported Living

Supported living services can help if a client doesn’t want to live in residential care but they find it difficult to cope at home. Supported Living is a combination of suitable accommodation – which can be your own home – with some forms of personal care (like help with washing or cooking).

Some supported living homes are shared by 2 or 3 people with a similar health problem, such as a substance misuse problem or a particular disability. We help our service users in areas they need help in. It could mean help with getting out of bed, go out to college or work and to perform simple tasks such as shopping, house work and repairs. EJ Care staff can also help with administrative tasks and personal care.

There are many benefits to our service users living in their own homes, in their own environment and with autonomy. Our support staff provide the necessary support to create a home that is suitable for their particular needs; including elements such as design, ambiance and lighting. We also encourage those in supported living to embrace their autonomy and take part in things they enjoy, both at home and with others.

We assist people to live their best life. This is obviously a joint effort. We all come together to discuss their personal goals and work together to reach them whilst ensuring their needs are met at every step. Elements of life that we assist with include communication, development of social friendships, managing challenging behaviours, and budgeting for everyday life. We provide a bespoke support program including Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) when required.

Our employees undertake additional training to meet the needs of our clients. Normally if we onboard a new client, we will ensure our staff are suitably qualified to support them.

We have a team of highly skilled support workers who are trained and certified with years of experience in the industry. We care for and support your loved ones like we would our own family.
